The Kaiser Family Foundation just released a report detailing the findings from their survey of uninsured adults. One interesting finding of note for navigators and assisters is they say that 63% of the uninsured didn’t even attempt to get coverage. Also, almost half of the uninsured surveyed (48%) would have been eligible for either Medicaid or premium tax credits had they applied. This underscores the continued need to educate consumers about what is available for them and debunk the myths of unaffordable coverage. To download a copy of the report, click here.
