The National Health Council (NHC) has released state report cards for all 50 states plus DC on how well the state is doing in protecting consumers purchasing insurance on the exchanges. These report cards grade all the states on five key principles: non-discrimination, transparency, state oversight, uniformity and continuity of care. NHC also wrote a full report entitled “Enhancing the Patient-Centeredness of State Health Insurance Markets” which summarizes the data of all the states and provides a few state highlights. We have included each state report card on our state pages under “State Specific Resources.” To access each state page, use the menu below or go to the map on our homepage and click on your state. The map can be accessed by clicking here. If you want to read the full report by NHC which includes data and all the report cards, you can click here.
