NEW REPORTS AVAILABLE ON STATE ENROLLMENT EXPERIENCES

Note: the NDNRC Weekly Update will be taking a summer break for the month of August. You can check our website for regular news updates and we will resume the updates the first Friday in September. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) has published an issue brief entitled “State Enrollment Experience: Implementing Health Coverage Eligibility and Enrollment Systems under the ACA.” The brief takes a closer look at the enrollment experience in 10 states (AR, CA, CT, FL, KY, MT, NC, OH, WA, WV). To read our news item which includes a link to download a copy of the brief, click here.

If you’re interested in more about specific state experiences with enrollment, then you can also check out the new report the Texas Health Institute entitled “Evolution of Health Insurance Marketplaces: Experiences and Progress in Reaching and Enrolling Diverse Populations.” This report examines the efforts in some states to enroll racially and ethnically diverse populations. To read our news item which includes a link to download a copy of the report, click here.

Earlier this week, CMS released the Eligibility Determinations and Enrollment Report for Medicaid from May 2015. To read our news item which includes a link to download the report, click here. The report can also be found on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Statistics.”

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our video series “Health Insurance Jeopardy” on YouTube. You can click here to read our blog post which includes links to the videos or a YouTube playlist if you want to watch all six. All of the videos can also be found on our YouTube channel by clicking here or on the NDNRC “Webinars/Presentations” page here.

Are you looking for local partners to help with outreach to the disability community? The NDNRC has funded eleven Community Outreach Collaboratives (COCs) for the second year of enrollment. The COCs will increase collaborations in the community, dissemination and outreach efforts and enrollment of people with disabilities in the ACA. To find a COC, click here.
