The HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) released an issue brief yesterday on the benefits that Medicaid expansion has had on behavioral health. The brief examines the affect that expansion had in states that have expanded Medicaid but also examines what it could mean for the 1.9 million people who have a mental illeness or substance use disorder and would be eligible for Medicaid if other states expanded.
