A new issue brief from the Commonwealth Fund looks at the experiences of the state-based marketplaces in 2017. The brief entitled “How Did State-Run Health Insurance Marketplaces Fare in 2017?” gives the results of interviews done with the state-based marketplaces. The brief looks at how the state-based marketplaces handled potentially extending open enrollment beyond the federal deadline, what they did to help consumers get through the confusion and what they did regarding the uncertainty of the cost-sharing reduction payments.
