A new issue brief from the Kaiser Family Foundation examines the effects that the Medicaid expansion has had in states on the access and affordability of coverage as well as economic effects, including employment. The brief entitled “Implications of the ACA Medicaid Expansion: A Look at the Data and Evidence” shows that states that expanded Medicaid had greater reductions in their rate of uninsurance, increased affordability of health care, and overall there has been a net fiscal benefit for states.
