A new issue brief from the Kaiser Family Foundation examines the different pathways which people with disabilities can obtain coverage through the Medicaid program. The issue brief entitled “Medicaid Financial Eligibility for Seniors and People with Disabilities” is the result of a 50-state survey which Kaiser conducted of all the state Medicaid programs. The brief goes into detail on how states vary in their approaches to make people with disabilities eligible for coverage and includes tables which breakdown all the various ways states provide this coverage.
