A new report is available from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) which reviews the rehabilitation and habilitation benefits available in Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) available on the ACA Marketplaces. “Analysis of Rehabilitation and Habilitation Benefits in Qualified Health Plans” reviewed 724 QHP’s being offered on the marketplace. The review of the QHP’s went across all metal levels and examined the degree to which the plans covered various therapies and the effect deductibles and co-pays had on the therapies. AOTA last conducted this review in 2014 and they also compare how things have changed in those 2 years (the full 2014 report is available here). To download a copy of the 2016 report, click here. The report is also available on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Resources – Disability Specific.” You can also find in that section AOTA’s draft questions you should be considering about rehabilitation and habilitation benefits available in QHPs. Those draft questions are also available here.
