“Putting Patients First” Has Web Calculator

January 14, 2015 by NDNRC

If you haven’t already checked it out, be sure to review the calculator on puttingpatientsfirst.net. The calculator allows individuals to enter their information about expected health care utilization and then estimates what their costs would be (including deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance) thereby giving the individual a much more accurate view of what a plan will cost beyond just the premiums. Last week, the National Health Council which runs puttingpatientsfirst.net released some data on the consumers in the states who were taking advantage of the calculator. That press release is available here.

The link to the Putting Patients First website can also be found on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Resources – Overview” and for an overview of what is available on the Putting Patients First website, click here.
