NDNRC AT THE AIRS CONFERENCE

This week, the NDNRC is at the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) Conference in Dallas, TX. If you are at the conference, you’ll want to check out our presentation today entitled “Health Insurance Jeopardy in Year 2 of Open Enrollment: Double Jeopardy.” For anyone who has seen our Jeopardy presentations in the past, you’ll want to check out this first presentation of the second round. The presentation is based off the new materials the NDNRC released in Year 2. Today’s AIRS presentation is at 2:15 CT and is session A-12 in the program. For those unable to be at the conference, we will be posting the slides on the NDNRC website next week. Archived presentations and webinars for the NDNRC can be found here.

Did you see our news item from last Friday about the New York limitation on prosthetic devices and what the New York exchange is doing to lift the restriction? There is still work to be done on this issue, but it is an improvement over the current limitations. To read our news item, click here. Also, special recognition goes to our New York COC (Center for Independence of the Disabled, NY) who was instrumental in leading the efforts to bring about this change that will undoubtedly improve the lives of many New Yorkers. If you are interested in being part of the work that’s still being done in New York, you can contact them. The contact information for all of our COCs can be found by clicking here.
