Kaiser Publishes Fact Sheet on Medicaid Expansion in PA

August 11, 2015 by NDNRC

In last Fall’s election, the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race resulted in Democrat Tom Wolf defeating incumbent Republican Tom Corbett. Previously under Governor Corbett, Pennsylvania had expanded Medicaid in a non-traditional way – using vouchers for the expansion population to purchase private insurance plans (click here to read more about that announcement). Newly elected Governor Wolf has replaced this with a traditional expansion as was initially envisioned under the ACA. How will this change affect the expansion population? The Kaiser Family Foundation has released a fact sheet which details the differences between the two plans. To read this fact sheet, click here. This fact sheet is also available on the Pennsylvania specific page, here.
