NDNRC to Present on Webinar

NDNRC Project Manager Karl Cooper will be presenting on a webinar on Wednesday, May 4 at 3:00 PM ET entitled “The Affordable Care Act and Persons with Disabilities: An Introduction and Overview Webinar.” This webinar is being conducted in collaboration with the Collaborative on Health Reform and Independent Living (CHRIL). An Introduction and Overview Webinar

May 4, 2016; 3:00 p.m. Eastern

You are invited to join the Collaborative on Health Reform and Independent Living (CHRIL) for a webinar on what the Affordable Care Act (ACA) means for persons with disabilities and some of the opportunities and challenges the law will present. The webinar is scheduled for May 4 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

The webinar will also outline the research objectives and planned work of the CHRIL over the next five years. In addition, the webinar will present an overview of the National Disability Navigator Resource Collaborative (NDNRC) project and its Resources. The NDNRC is an initiative aimed at providing cross-disability information and support to Navigators and other enrollment specialists thereby ensuring people with disabilities receive accurate information when selecting and enrolling in insurance through the ACA Marketplaces.

There is no charge to participate, but registration is required. To register and reserve your space at the webinar, take the following steps:

  • Complete the registration form here
  • Add ilru@ilru.org to your email’s approved senders list
  • Watch your email on May 3rd for connection information.

PLEASE NOTE: On the day of the webinar, the first 500 registered webinar participants to log-in will be able to participate via the webinar platform. When the webinar reaches capacity, participants are encouraged to join via teleconference. (Web and teleconference information will be provided via email notification on May 3 to those who register.)

The presenter will be Karl Cooper, who serves as the dissemination and utilization consultant for the CHRIL. Cooper is also the head of the National Disability Navigator Resource Collaborative (NDNRC), a project of the American Association on Health and Disability. The moderator for the webinar will be Richard Petty who is the Director of the National Center for Aging and Disability. Sharon Finney and Carol Eubanks of ILRU will serve as webinar facilitators.
