New Research on Churning

October 21, 2016 by NDNRC

A recent blog post by Community Catalyst looks at some of the recent research on the phenomenon known as churning. Churning is the result of individuals’ eligibility status changing between marketplace coverage and Medicaid. To learn more about churning, check out our recent news item about an article by the Commonwealth Fund as well as our posts on a National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) issue brief released this summer and a prior report by the Commonwealth Fund looking at ways to reduce churning.
