NDNRC partner organization, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) published a report this week examining how health plans are doing with parity for mental health treatment. The report explains the difference between provider networks for mental health vs. primary care and how that impacts out-of-pocket costs. The report also makes recommendations with respect to network adequacy, plan transparency and covering out-of-network costs. To download a copy of the report, click here. The report can also be found on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Resources – Mental Health and Behavioral Health.”
