Due to the high demand to sign up for coverage this year, CMS has announced through Healthcare.gov that they are extending the deadline to sign up for coverage that would begin January 1, 2017 until December 19th. The deadline had been December 15, but consumers are being given four extra days to select a plan with coverage that would commence at the beginning of next year.
