New Kaiser Brief Examines Pre-Existing Conditions and the AHCA

May 18, 2017 by NDNRC

The Kaiser Family Foundation has released an issue brief which examines how people with pre-existing conditions would fare under the AHCA when they experience gaps in coverage. The brief examines how states will be permitted to request waivers which would allow insurance companies to charge more to individuals with pre-existing conditions if they do experience a gap in coverage and what effects that could have. The issue brief entitled “Gaps in Coverage Among People With Pre-Existing Conditions” is available here.
