A new issue brief from the Kaiser Family Foundation examines an amendment to the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017 (BCRA) proposed by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). In short, this amendment would allow insurance companies to sell plans on the marketplace which would not comply with the Essential Health Benefit (EHBs) regulations found in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The brief is entitled “Uneven Playing Field: Applying Different Rules to Competing Health Plans.”
