Earlier this year, HHS changed the rules for how marketplace insurers could respond to consumers who had fallen behind on their health insurance premiums. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) has released a new fact sheet as part of its Health Reform: Beyond the Basics series. The fact sheet is entitled “Key Facts You Need to Know About: Past-Due Premiums in the Marketplace.” The fact sheet addresses key questions such as what qualifies as a past-due premium and how does it affect a consumer’s ability to effectuate their 2018 coverage.
