The Kaiser Family Foundation has released a new poll of individuals in the non-group health insurance market, which is largely made up of individuals enrolled in the ACA marketplace. One of the questions that Kaiser asked enrollees was what were the factors in their decision to enroll in coverage. As the graphic shows below, the most common reasons for enrollment were to protect against high medical bills in the event of an illness and/or for peace of mind.
