OE7 IS APPROACHING

Now that fall is right around the corner, Open Enrollment Year 7 (OE7) is just weeks away and preparation for OE7 is underway. As part of our work for OE7, AAHD is proud to announce that we will be working with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) again to provide technical assistance to navigators and other health insurance enrollment assisters. As part of this work, CBPP will once again be conducting its fall “Beyond the Basics” webinar series and they have announced the schedule for the first six of these webinars. For the full list of dates and times for the webinars as well as links to register, check out our news item. Also, be on the lookout for news on future webinars with CBPP as we will be conducting one for them addressing disability and health insurance enrollment.

If you missed it, CMS has announced the recipients for the 2019 navigator awards for Open Enrollment Year 7 (OE7). The full list of awardees is available in our news item. If you are navigator and still need to complete the CMS training, it can be accessed through the CMS portal.

A new analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that health insurance companies will be providing a significant number of rebates to consumers for the 2019 year. To learn more about these rebates or for a link to the Kaiser report, check out our news item.

A new report from the Census Bureau shows that the uninsured rate has increased from 2017 to 2018. To learn more about the Census Bureau report or to download a copy, check out our news item. You can also read more about this in a blog post from CBPP.

Join the HCBS Business Acumen Center on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 PM ET as Torshira Moffett, Director of Product Development with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) presents a webinar entitled “Monitor, Evaluate and Respond:  Use Measurement to Demonstrate Performance” where she will discuss the differences between structure, process and outcome measures and discusses how CBOs can impact measures health plans use to evaluate their performance.

Are you looking for local partners to help with outreach to the disability community? The NDNRC has Community Outreach Collaboratives (COCs) which work to increase collaborations in the community, dissemination and outreach efforts and enrollment of people with disabilities in the ACA marketplace. You can find a COC, on the COC page of our website.

Archives of our weekly updates are available on the NDNRC website.
