At the end of last week, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the final Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) for the 2021 plan year. The NBPP is the regulatory framework which CMS uses to operate the federally facilitated marketplace (healthcare.gov). Here are the links to the documents which CMS released as part of the 2021 NBPP:
Of note, AAHD had joined several comments which expressed concerns over CMS’s original proposal regarding automatic re-enrollment. There was concern that the proposed rule would have resulted in many individuals losing coverage. In the final role, CMS did not follow through on this proposal.
