April 15, 2021 by NDNRC

Previously, we reported that all of the states who have their own state-based marketplace (SBM) were following the federal government’s lead in offering a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for COVID. Last month, HHS indicated that they were going to be extending the COVID SEP through August 15, 2021. Many of the SBMs have also extended their COVID SEP. The current deadlines for all of the SBMs are as follows:

  • California: December 31, 2021
  • Colorado: August 15, 2021
  • Connecticut: August 15, 2021
  • DC: through the duration of the public health emergency
  • Idaho: April 30, 2021
  • Maryland: August 15, 2021
  • Massachusetts: July 23, 2021
  • Minnesota: July 16, 2021
  • Nevada: August 15, 2021
  • New Jersey: November 30, 2021
  • New York: December 31, 2021
  • Pennsylvania: August 15, 2021
  • Rhode Island: August 15, 2021
  • Vermont: October 1, 2021
