The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported that figures for Medicare and Medicaid/Children’s Health Insurance Program have experienced an increase in enrollment since 2020, with Medicare growing by 111,000 and Medicaid and CHIP by 1,213,766. These healthcare programs allow for communities that are disproportionately affected by health inequity to obtain healthcare services, including almost 12 million enrollees being eligible for dual coverage in both programs.
