In case you didn’t hear, on Wednesday CMS released the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for navigators in both the federally facilitated marketplace as well as the state partnership marketplaces. These grants will now be awarded for three years. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2015. To read more, check out our news item which has links to the grant page and FAQs about the FOA. That story can be accessed by clicking here. In addition, CMS will host a series of webinars to provide technical assistance on completing these applications. This week, the CMS assister newsletter addressed an important issue concerning the eligibility of an adult dependent with a disability and how they should be enrolled in a Marketplace plan. To see the full question and answer, check out our blog post by clicking here.

The Georgetown University Center on Health Insurance Reforms has released a new issue brief which looks at the consumer assistance experience before, during and after the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. To view our news item which includes a link to download a copy of the report, click here.

Are you looking for data on who has enrolled for a health plan in your immediate area? Be sure to check out our news item on the new data from Enroll America which has broken down enrollment by county and HHS which has broken down enrollment by zip code. To view this news item, click here. This info can also be accessed on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Statistics.”

Are you looking for local partners to help with outreach to the disability community? The NDNRC has funded eleven Community Outreach Collaboratives (COCs) for the second year of enrollment. The COCs will increase collaborations in the community, dissemination and outreach efforts and enrollment of people with disabilities in the ACA. To find a COC, click here.

Weekly updates are now archived on the NDNRC site. All Weekly Updates since October 3, 2014 can be accessed by clicking here.
