MORE ENROLLMENT NUMBERS
Are you a numbers geek looking for information on who enrolled and what they picked in the second year of open enrollment? Well, CMS has released a bunch of new data related to Open Enrollment Year 2. The new data breaks down enrollment numbers by county and is sorted in numerous ways such as whether the consumer received premium assistance, what metal plan was selected and the income level of the household. The links to all this data can be found in our news item by clicking here. The links can also be found on our Resources & Links page under “Enrollment Statistics.”
In the past, we’ve posted numerous items about “churning” which is when an individual’s income fluctuates and they go between Medicaid eligibility and eligibility for coverage through the Marketplace. The Commonwealth Fund has published a new article on ways to reduce this phenomenon. To view our news item on this which has links to a summary by the Commonwealth Fund as well links to our prior posts on churning, click here.
Our well received presentation “Health Insurance Jeopardy” is coming to YouTube! There will be a series of six videos which we will be highlighting in next week’s update. In fact, three of the videos have already been published. You can check out this week’s news items for videos on prescription drugs, medical devices and rehabilitation and habilitation benefits. All of these videos can also be found on our YouTube channel by clicking here or on the NDNRC “Webinars/Presentations” page here.
