The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) also released a fact sheet this week entitled “How Medicaid Work Requirements Will Harm People with Disabilities and Serious Illnesses.” As the graphic below shows, the vast majority of Medicaid beneficiaries are already working and most of the rest are unable to work due to a disability, acting as a caregiver for a family member, going to school or retired. The simple truth is that work requirements solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
