DISABILITY WEEK OF ACTION STARTS SUNDAY
Sunday is the start of Disability Week of Action for Open Enrollment Year 9 (OE9) and we have several activities planned to encourage people with disabilities to make sure they enroll in health insurance for 2022. On Tuesday, November 9 from 3:00-4:00 PM ET, we will be hosting a Twitter chat entitled “Coverage Is Inclusive.” You can follow along Tuesday afternoon on our AAHD Twitter account or by following the #OE9DisabilityChat.
In addition to our Twitter chat, we will also be posting blogs on our NDNRC website throughout the week and on Thursday, will be hosting at least one Facebook live event at a time to be determined. Follow our AAHD Facebook page to get more information as it becomes available.
CMS has announced a series of theme weeks that will occur throughout the entirety of OE9 including next week’s Disability Week of Action. The entire list of theme weeks can be found in our news item.
OE9 started Monday and is doing so with some of the lowest premiums ever found on the Affordable Care Act marketplaces. To learn more, check out our latest blog post which highlights the press release from CMS on what is in store for OE9.
If you’re conducting enrollment assistance for OE9, AAHD has the resources you need as you assist people with disabilities enroll in health insurance! AAHD is once again working with Community Catalyst and other partners in conducting outreach to educate individuals about the ACA Marketplace. This outreach includes graphics like the one below which highlight the fact that you can now enroll in health insurance. These graphics are available in the Community Catalyst Outreach Hub.
Last week, we highlighted the fact that CMS had restarted its Champions for Coverage program. As part of this, they have a toolkit with numerous resources to help conducting outreach on OE9.
