STATE TIMELINES FOR ENDING MEDICAID CONTINUOUS COVERAGE
The unwinding of the Medicaid continuous coverage requirement has begun and states can begin to terminate people’s Medicaid eligibility as of April 1 which is less than a month away. As part of this project, they have graphics like the one below which highlight the financial benefits of Medicaid. These are available in the Community Catalyst Outreach Hub.
The Georgetown Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) also has another blog post which looks at the struggles those who have long COVID have had with getting adequate access to coverage and care.
A new issue brief from the Kaiser Family Foundation examines the growth of the Medicaid program and what it means for the unwinding of the continuous coverage requirement and who is most at risk for losing coverage.
