NDNRC Releases New Fact Sheet on Assisting Consumers with Traumatic Brain Injuries

December 28, 2015 by NDNRC

The NDNRC is pleased to announce the publication of a new population specific fact sheet: “What to Know When Assisting a Consumer with Traumatic Brain Injury.” This fact sheet is intended to help Navigators identify what issues are unique to consumers with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).  This fact sheet can be found here. Special thanks to our NDNRC Friend organization, the Brain Injury Association of America for their authorship of this fact sheet. This fact sheet is the latest in a series of population specific fact sheets which provides navigators and other enrollment specialists with information they need to help these specific populations within the disability community. The previous population specific fact sheets we released are as follows:

  • What to Know When Assisting Children and Adults in the Autism Community
  • What to Know When Assisting a Consumer Who Has Experienced, or Is at Risk for, Blood Clots
  • What to Know When Assisting a Consumer with a Child with Special Health Care Needs
  • What to Know When Assisting a Consumer with Intellectual Disability
  • What to Know When Assisting a Consumer with Mental Illness
  • What to Know When Assisting a Consumer with Multiple Sclerosis
  • Information for Veterans Regarding Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare

The entire list of fact sheets including our topical fact sheets is available here.
