If you’re looking for more resources on helping consumers move from Coverage to Care, be sure to check out our fact sheet “Tips for ACA Enrollees: From Coverage to Care – Persons with Disabilities.” This fact sheet is intended for navigators to provide to people with disabilities in order to assist them in using their new insurance coverage. That fact sheet can be found here and since it is intended to be used by consumers, it is also available in a Spanish downloadable version.
The last two weeks we reported on the National Council on Disability (NCD) release of the first two of three reports on the ACA and disability. The third report entitled “Monitoring and Enforcing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for People with Disabilities” was released this week. Two weeks ago, we reported on a Kaiser survey that was released on Medicaid eligibility policies. Kaiser has now archived the briefing that they conducted reviewing the findings of this survey. Are you looking for local partners to help with outreach to the disability community? The NDNRC is funding eighteen Community Outreach Collaboratives (COCs) for the third year of enrollment. This includes the eleven that were funded last year, plus seven new locations in six new states. The COCs will increase collaborations in the community, dissemination and outreach efforts and enrollment of people with disabilities in the ACA. To find a COC, click here.
