Earlier this week, the Biden Administration issued proposed rules for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces. These proposed rules do expand the roles for navigators which is not surprising based on the increased funding that the new administration is putting into the navigator program. Another big change will be expanding the open enrollment period for the 2022 plan year by one month so it will run from November 1, 2021-January 15, 2022. CMS will be accepting comments on these proposed rules through July 28.
